Determine your ideal reader. Don’t start a blog for yourself. Who do you want to be reading your blog? 2. Identify another successful blog in your niche. 3. Come up with 5-10 categories that your blog will cover. Your blog doesn’t have to be just one topic. I believe you can mix in other things you are really passionate about so others can relate to you and start to trust you too. 4. Take those categories and come up with 5 posts for each category. If you can’t come up with 5 posts for each category, it might not be the right topic for you. You have to have new content each week so you have to have a lot of ideas within those categories. 5. Choose your website platform. We’ve used and recommended installing WordPress.org. You’ll need to pick your website host as well.
